About Me
My name is Zhidong (志东). I am currently a first-year master’s student in Computational Neuroscience at the University of Tübingen. Before this, I completed my Bachelor’s in Software Engineering at Wuhan University.
I am passionate about the intersection of artificial intelligence and neuroscience. While still exploring my research interests, I am particularly drawn to the fields of neural dynamic, memory mechanisms, and brain-inspired AI.

Large Model Based Crossmodal Chinese Poetry Creation
2024-2025Developed a crossmodal poetry generation system using large models, with functions including high-quality poetry generation, analysis and scoring, and optimization. The whole process all provides user-friendly interpretation for better user experience, e.g., allusion annotation and appreciation. The system firstly utilized CLIP, miniGPT4 and ERNIE (paper accepted), and finally swichted to DeepSeek’s series models for better performance.
RNN Analysis on Same-Different Task
2024Trained RNNs on the same-different task under varying noise levels by neurogym, optimizing the code for readability and extensibility. Analyzed normalized averages and principal components of RNN hidden states, performed linear fitting of activities at different time points to stimuli values, and analyzed the temporal scope.
The Working Memory Capacity of RNN
2024Explored various effects of parameter settings on the working memory capacity of RNNs.
Data Analysis on Forward Flow Task
2024Pre-processed word data for forward flow tasks, inserting seed words, removing duplicates, and generating embeddings. Analyzed the correlation between participants’ scale scores and statistical indicators.
PoetryChat
2023An interactive poetry learning assistant based on LLM for different ages supports different chatting styles, oneline search, RAG, and image generation.
Paper classification based on abstracts
2023Implemented paper classification based on abstracts using BERT models. (My first project about machine learning! :D)
Ruyi Mirror
2023Designed and inplemented a demo for a virtual application, which was set to be a magical mirror that can analyze the skin, provide recommadations and keep track of the skin conditions daily. Ruyi (如意) means ‘as you wish’ in Chinese.
Sport-Record
2023A demo app for recording sports data, including user management, sport data recording and simple statistics. Developed using Swift and SwiftUI, with data persistence handled by SQLite.
Exam Master
2022A Roguelike game asking players to explore the rooms, fight monsters and earn gold coins as as to ‘pass the exam’. Inspired by Crypt of the NecroDancer, the player can only move and attack to the rhythm of the background music. Developed using Unity and C#. (tbh how to play the game has nothing to do with eaxm, just some funny concepts mapping of freshmen)
